Carmen Maria London, age 100, of Granbury, Texas went home to be with her Lord on Monday March 9, 2020. Graveside Service: 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 14, 2020, Hillcrest Garden of Memory, Hillsboro, Texas; Officiating; Boots Hubbard. Carmen will Lie in State all day, Friday March 13, 2020.
Carmen was born on January 7, 1920 in Penelope, Texas to Joseph and Annie Belle Davis. Carmen was married to Melvin C. London for 69 years. He passed away February 4, 2009. Carmen was also preceded in death by her parents; brother: Carlos Davis and his wife Mary Davis.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbra Talkington and her husband Ron of Durango, Colorado, Rebecca Hubbard and her husband Boots of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren: Sheryl Bidart and her husband Chad, of Durango Colorado, Vicky Davis and her husband James of Granbury, Texas, Capri Dillon and husband Charlie of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Mitchell and Linzie Bidart of Durango, Colorado, Ashley Morales and her husband Charlie of Abilene, Texas, Jill Dillon Oder, Caleb Dillon, Bethany Dillon, Ariel Basden, Samuel Dillon, Matthew Dillon, and Noah Dillon; great-great grandchildren: Maci Tretter, Brantley and Kinsley Hampton, Gabriel, Michael and Leonardo Morales; nephew: Larry Davis and wife Teresa; niece: Sharon Keas and her husband Gary Don Keas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was lovingly known as "Meemaw" and loved being known as a housewife and taking care of her own yard; up until the last 10 years. Carmen was passionate about reading her scripture and loving her Lord. She was the granddaughter of a Horseback Minister; who came from Tennessee to Arkansas then Texas, in a covered wagon. She experienced a lot of history. Carmen also shared her wedding day and had a double wedding with her brother and his wife.
